episode #2 answer

So anyone that hangs around with a baby for more than 5 seconds quickly realizes that they love to put objects in their mouths and taste them, suck on them, and chew the crap out of them. Pretty much everything. Elliott is no exception. I mean he chews on everything:

spatulas...

measuring cups...

flashcards ...

bags of coffee...
with the usual outcome being a very gooey object and a very drooly Elliott.

So after a recent trip to the grocery store, I had Elliott loaded up in a shopping cart with our new purchases. I threw a few bags next to him in the cart and immediately he began rifling through them. When he pulled out a yogurt container, I didn't think twice about it. When he began sucking on the top, it did not seem unnatural at all. In fact, if he DID NOT put the yogurt container into his mouth, I think that might have been cause for alarm and a trip to urgent care. But he did and life seemed normal. It wasn't until we reached the apartment that I noticed that he was sucking on the container with a vigor and intensity that I have never seem in him before. It was around this same moment that I noticed a pink stain on his shirt that wasn't there before & heard a strange slurping sound. It suddenly dawned on me that a yogurt container is different from the many items Elliott chews on daily in that he is able to use his teeth like a can opener to puncture the top and suck out the tasty contents. Not a big deal, but because it just didn't seem like the proper way to eat yogurt, I took it away from him. He promptly threw a fit which caused me to give it back and go reach for the camera. Here's the yogurt after the aforementioned Elliott Attack.
