we now need to watch what we say around him...

(Elliott pulls a pillow off the chair and climbs on top of it)
Dan: "Pillow"
Elliott: "Pillow"
Stella: Good. Now say, (insert South Park Movie reference here)."
Dan: "Elliott, don't repeat what your mother just said."

baby massage the way I thought they meant...

Elliott has gotten very good at pointing out and saying, "car." He also loves taking toy cars and pushing them along the ground. I recently added this "car" to his toybox and have tried to teach him that this is a special car that drives up and down mommy's back. We're still working on it...

uh-oh...

He usually knows exactly what to do whenever I give him a penny for the coin well, but of course, the day I pull out the camera, he plays dumb, probably so he would have an excuse to say "uh-oh" over and over again.

his first ID card

Elliott & I received our YMCA membership cards in the mail the other day. Within 5 minutes of getting them, Elliott confiscated them both and lost mine. During this brief period of time, I had remembered seeing him playing near the refrigerator and after removing the grate on the bottom of it, we found not only my ID card, but several other photos that had mysteriously vanished from off the refrigerator. I fear that when we leave this apartment and this refrigerator is someday replaced, there will be an entire photo album's worth of family pictures under there.

Here's Elliott ID card. His mug shot is incredibly adorable. Too bad they spelt his name wrong.

our little devil...

We didn't get very far trick-or-treating on Sunday. Elliott had too much fun just running around and playing in the leaves. He didn't quite know what to do with the little packages people were trying to hand him and just how wonderful those two hours on Halloween are. After awhile though, he had some idea that these bundles in his pumpkin were something important and kept trying to hand them to me to get me to give him a hint of what to do with them. Here's a video of our Halloween adventures.
